Charlotte for Major League Baseball

The Charlotte Knights now know who the webmaster of Charlotte for Major League Baseball is. Although completely unexpected, first contact went well. The Knights like the website, which promotes their ultimate goals of an Uptown ballpark and eventually Major League Baseball in the Carolinas.

Mayberry Awards

I learned today that my "Mayberry Mysteries" campaign won (at least) a Citation of Excellence from the Charlotte Ad Club. I said "at least" because it can win a full Addy Award. The awards will be announced on Friday, February 1st. Don't forget that I was nominated for an Emmy for my "Fife Club" promo. Those awards are announced this Saturday night at 9pm EST.

Both of these spots, along with a few others, will soon be available for viewing on our website. I just need the time to create and upload those pages.

ER

Last night Maegan went to the Emergency Room. She was watching a video on our bed (not jumping) and rolled off the edge 2 feet on to the soft carpet. But she landed wrong and injured her shoulder. She had x-rays taken at the E.R. which revealed a hairline fracture of her collar bone. :(

Trip Planning

Today is our 4th Anniversary. Patty and I never had a honeymoon, so for our 5th Anniversary (one year from today) we plan on going on our belated honeymoon. Disneyworld, Las Vegas, and Mexico have been mentioned (in that order). Maegan doesn't know what Disneyworld is yet, but if we went there, someday soon she would be pissed off for going without her.

Speaking of trips, yesterday I finally bought airline and baseball tickets, thereby finalizing our planned trip to Florida. Once again, we'll be going to a Mets spring training game (3rd year). This year we'll save the long drive to Port St. Lucie and see them play in Jupiter.

This Little Piggy

"This little piggy went wee wee wee, all the way home." Maegan watches her Sesame Street's Kids Favorite Songs video over and over again. Now I'm at work and I'm trying to edit, but I still can't get that song out of my mind! :(

Aunt Amy vs. The Airport

Amy is visiting Maegan from D.C. (and as long as she's here she'll hang out with Patty and myself too). When we picked up Amy at the airport, Maegan was only interested in seeing the airplanes. Once we left the exciting airport, Maegan loved playing with her Aunt Amy.

My First Post... Again

I found a copy of my very first blog entry ever while looking through some files on my hard drive. For historic preservation I am reposting it below and syncing this post to the exact day and time of the original.
Well here goes my first blog. Blog is short for "web log". I read about blogs in US News & World Report and figured that would be a good addition to our website. As defined in the article, "a blog is a frequently updated Web page consisting of brief, dated entries, with new ones pushing the old to the bottom of the page. Most catalog the author's chronological musings and are often a mix of personal journal entries and links to whatever caught the blogger's fancy." I doubt I'll post entires every day, but it should be a good way of keeping up with what Patty, Maegan, and I are up to.
