Here's the first sonogram photo.

This image is at just 12 weeks. We won't know the sex of the baby until sometime between Thanksgiving and New Year's, but yes we do want to know if it is going to be a boy or a girl. Some people say they want to be surprised but let's face it, it's the same surprise whether you find out the day it's born or months earlier.
I win either way. I know it would be great having another girl because of Maegan. On the other hand if we have a boy, a) one of each, b) sports, and c) my family name does not die with me. Of course I'm totally ignoring the fact that boys are more wild and rambunctious.
We won't even be thinking about names until after we can narrow our options in half. Unlike with Maegan, whenever we do choose a name we plan on keeping it a secret until just before he/she is born. We don't want another family member getting a tatoo of his granddaughter's name and spelling it wrong.
