Like Bill Cosby said, kids say the darndest things. Maegan was of course no exception. When Maegan was three years old I realized that I should begin writing down all of the funny things she said. From 2002 to 2005 I collected her quotes, which eventually became this "Maegan Says" section.
I told Maegan that we were going to spend a lot of time cleaning the house today. Maegan asked, "Why? Who's coming over?"

I kept telling Maegan that for an upcoming trip to Florida, that we would visit the Seaquarium in "Miami". After weeks and weeks of anticipation Maegan was really excited for the big trip to "Daddy's Yammy"!

I was telling Maegan about a new waterpark in Charlotte. I told her that it was indoors so that we could go there one day, even if it's cold outside. Hearing me say that the waterpark was indoors, Maegan says, "Yeah, there are doors all around it."

I asked Maegan what she learned in school today. Maegan replied "If you're bad you won't get a treat."

We were in the outdoor garden section of Lowe's today. Maegan recalls past experience and yells out with excitement, "Can we go look at the flowers and not buy any."

I told Patty that Maegan was being a darling, good little girl. Maegan immediately asked "Why are you telling Mommy a lie?"

We were walking in a parking lot and we saw an SUV carrying a Kayak on its roof. I explained to Maegan that it's a boat for one person, and that they sit in the hole and use a paddle to move around. Maegan looks at the shape of the Kayak and the size of the hole and says, "Is that a boat for a fat person with long legs?
Saturday, July 13, 2002 - Age 3
Patty forgot to put on her watch yesterday morning and mentioned it to Maegan on their way to childcare. Maegan got really worried and asked, "Will you remember to pick me up after school, Mommy?"
Wednesday, July 17, 2002 - Age 3
While driving in the car, Maegan says "Mommy, are you doing the speed lemon?"
