I have shot, produced, and/or edited well over five thousand commercials and station promos in my career. Here's just a few of them.

The Mayberry Code

This is a promotional spot I wrote, produced, and edited as part of a major multi-media contest to promote The Andy Griffith Show. It was a parody of the blockbuster film The Da Vinci Code that was released at the same time. The Mayberry Code won an Emmy Award.

Mayberry Mysteries

These are three out of five spots from a promotional campaign that I wrote, produced, and edited for The Andy Griffith Show. This series investigates some of the unanswered questions surrounding Mayberry. What ever happened to the original Floyd? Are Andy and Barney really cousins? And, if Ernest T. Bass is illiterate, who writes his rock-thrown messages? For this spoof of the well-known show Unsolved Mysteries, we brought in a professional voice impressionist to recreate the aura of Robert Stack. This campagin won a National Addy and an Emmy.

Fife Club

This is a promotional spot I wrote, produced, and edited for a weekend marathon of The Andy Griffith Show. It was a parody of the then highly promoted Brad Pitt film, Fight Club. Everyone asks me how the soap prop was made: First our graphic artist designed the look-alike logo in mirror-image. We then brought the design to a trophy company to have a mold etched out in lucite. Finally, melted candle wax was poured into the mold. This spot won a Promax Gold and was nominated for an Emmy.

Putter's Golf Ball

This is a commercial that I wrote, shot, voiced, produced, and edited for a miniature golf course. Now that's a one-man-band! This spot was the first in a campaign of four, and it won Outstanding Commercial from the New York State Broadcasters Association. The shot looking up from the bottom of the cup was actually shot off-site using a short section of PVC pipe placed above the upwards-facing camera.
